Finding out the national level of your qualifications

However, if you have qualifications from a long time ago before all qualifications were given a national level or you cannot find your qualifications through the link above, then there are other ways to find this information.

You can find out what level your qualifications are through The Register of Regulated Qualifications.

Remember, the more information you can provide about the name of the qualification, the organisation who gave it to you (the awarding body), etc., the better.

If your qualification is from a long time ago you might not be able to find it through The Register. If this is the case you will need to look at the website for the organisation that awarded you your qualification e.g. City and Guilds, etc. Please note that the RSA is now called OCR!

The awarding bodies' websites list the qualifications they offer and have offered in the past. However, this is NOT a list of ALL the qualifications thay have ever offered! If you can't find your qualification listed and you know that you have the right awarding body, then contact them and ask how your past qualifications transfer to the national levels.
